Children & Young People
At King Charles the Martyr, children and young people are a valued part of our church family. We welcome families to discover faith, friendship and a sense of belonging through worship, activities and time together.
Family-Friendly Worship
A place where every generation can feel welcome.
Our service on the first Sunday of each month is usually a more informal Family Service, offering an opportunity for children and adults to worship together.
Throughout the year, we also celebrate special services designed with children and families in mind.
These include Christingle and Nativity services, giving younger members of our church family opportunities to take part in the Christian story.

The Cavaliers
A welcoming group for children aged three and over.
On Sundays when there is no specific Family Worship, the Cavaliers meet in the Church Hall.
Everyone shares the first part of the service together in church. After approximately ten minutes, the children leave for their own activities.
The Cavaliers enjoy a variety of activities appropriate to their age, giving children an opportunity to explore, learn and enjoy being part of the church community.
All children aged three and over are welcome. Parents are invited to stay with newcomers who may feel nervous until they are comfortable.
Children begin worship with the wider congregation before moving to the Church Hall for their own activities.

Little Ones Are Welcome Too
Families with younger children are always welcome at our services.
We understand that younger children need opportunities to play and explore.
Inside the church, there is a dedicated space with books and toys for small children and those accompanying them.
This space allows families to feel comfortable and included while attending worship.
You are welcome to use the children's books and toys provided in church during services.

From your first visit to becoming a familiar part of our church family, there are different ways for children to feel involved.
Family Services
