Church Governance

King Charles the Martyr is supported by the Parochial Church Council (PCC), which works with the clergy and churchwardens to support the mission, ministry and practical life of the parish.

What does the PCC do?

The Parochial Church Council shares responsibility for the life of the parish and helps support its mission, finances, buildings and governance.

Supports worship, mission, pastoral care and the wider life of the church.

Finance

Oversees parish finances, budgets and responsible stewardship of church resources.

Buildings

Supports the care, maintenance and development of our church buildings and facilities.

Governance & Safeguarding

Helps ensure appropriate policies, accountability and good governance across parish life.

Our PCC

The PCC includes clergy, churchwardens and elected or appointed members of the congregation who work together to support the governance, mission and life of King Charles the Martyr.

The Revd Laurence Powell Vicar Leads the parish in worship, pastoral care and the overall mission of the church.

The Revd Canon Sarah Partridge Associate Vicar Supports the Vicar in worship, ministry and the pastoral life of the parish.

Norma Buck PCC Secretary Supports PCC meetings, administration, minutes and correspondence.

Harriet Bull Treasurer Oversees church finances, financial reporting and stewardship of parish funds.

Paul Clark Lay Reader Supports worship, preaching and the wider ministry of the church.

Gisele Della Bella PCC Member Works with fellow PCC members to support the governance, mission and life of the parish.

Marilyn Dove PCC Member Works with fellow PCC members to support the governance, mission and life of the parish.
